Waverly Hills Sanatorium to be first class hotel
"It's a creepy, old, five-story building with a morgue, a "body chute" and guest rooms where people once lay dying of tuberculosis.
Mattingly and his architect, Kevin Milburn of Urban Designz, are dead serious about turning the old Waverly Hills Sanatorium into a 78-room boutique hotel with a spa, fitness center and meeting space for business groups." -Alex Davis
This was the infamous sanitorium where TAPS ghosthunters caught some ghostly apparations. [see video below] Located in Louisville, Kentucky, co owner Charlie Mattingly and his wife, Tina bought the 30-acre property for $225,000 in 2001. They are planning a rough estimate of $18 million dollar renovation on the property to open as a first class hotel as early as 2010. The part I can't believe is that he bought it for only $225,000. Dang! That is a good deal! Lucky guy.

I have read about this hotel some were. I remember that is a book about ghost and i bought the same when I was in Minneapolis. I am interested in ghosts and thus leads me to have a full night with a leading funeral ground in Minnesota. this place booked space in each books related to ghosts. I have never found anything suspicious there in the whole night but I still believe that there are some elements here there. It is a nice post and go ahead with such article interested by a large group

I love scary things! But did they check for zombies in there..........
I think the owners are a little crazy for wanting to turn this place into a hotel. but hey, if they're successful, I'm sure they'll accumulate tons of great stories.
